Rebecca Connett is an emerging author who weaves intimate, character-rich stories set against the sweep of history.
The Poet’s Bridge, her debut novel, was inspired by the wartime experiences of her grandfather — a story of first love, quiet courage, and the ache of what might have been. With lyrical prose and deep emotional honesty, she explores love, loss, and the invisible threads that hold us together, even when the world is falling apart.
Born and raised in New Zealand but now based in Newcastle, Australia, Rebecca spends her days surrounded by her family, her dogs Taika and Tui, and assorted chickens.
